Mike Seguin, N1JEZ

On the morning of November 21, 2025, CatSat activated its 10.47 GHz beacon while passing over New England. Mike Seguin, call-sign N1JEZ, successfully tracked the satellite and received the signal with a 1-meter X-band dish operating at his station located near Lyndonville, Vermont (FN34xn). He reports the signal was strong and well over the noise floor.

Congratulations to Mike Seguin and the CatSat team for the successful demonstration!

This event marks the first time that an amateur radio community member outside the CatSat team successfully received signals from the satellite. The next step will be to demonstrate the linear transponder capability onboard, transmitting signals up to the satellite on 5.663 GHz and receiving the response on 10.47 GHz.
