CatSat Completes First DVBS-2 Downlink

Following the success of the X-band test on September 10th, the CatSat team forged ahead, conducting the first DVBS-2 data transmission on the evening of September 15th! The team at the 6.1 meter dish at Tech Park successfully received data from CatSat that had been stored onboard before launch, validating the system's use for future operations. While the demonstration was a success, the team quickly identified several areas of improvement and has already begun working to increase the performance of the system.
