CatSat will activate its X-Band system and transmit a DVBS-2 modulated data stream centered at 10.47 GHz. The modulation will be Quadrature Phase Shift-Key (QPSK) with a 1/4 forward error correction fraction. The symbol rate will be 4 Mbaud.
The event is scheduled as a pass over a surface point located at Maidenhead grid DM42oc. Transmission will begin when the spacecraft ascends above 15 degrees and will end when the spacecraft crosses below 15 degrees.
The spacecraft will rotate to track a ground station on the surface.
